| This Hamano School tsuba is made of shakudo with high relief inlays of red copper with skillful application of gold silver and other metals.
The scene depicted is of a plasterer being frightened by the sudden appearance of a goblin who has been hiding within the wall.
The tsuba is signed "OTSURYUKEN
MIBOKU" and has been judged, on October 25, 1982, to be one of the "zenith of the HAMANO school of work" by John M. Yumoto author of "Samurai Sword Book" 1958, Charles E. Tuttle. Co.
